Asterisk PBX installation (15)

Yes, as long as the extensions added to the Phone-C configuration panels do not match each other. The vast majority of Asterisk distributions do not allow having more than one extension on a device, so it will not allow multiple registrations on the same extension. Calls between corporations will be allowed as long as the Asterisk has contexts for it?

Yes, it is a functionality of Asterisk itself. By implementing the Follow Me option any Asterisk extension, be it Phone-C or any other extension, can be configured so that when you receive a call, it generates a parallel to another extension.

G722, G711A, 711U. The WebRTC part of the browser works in Opus, but the media part between Asterisk and Phone-C is prioritized with those codecs.

The registers of applications with Phone-C come from the outside, do not arrive locally, so we must prepare our system to receive the signaling from the Phone-C platform. VPN connection is not feasible.

All versions of Asterisk are supported. The configurations you require are generic and common for these systems.

The same software installed in our browser can be used for more than one extension. What we must take into account is that each extension must have a linked email, so we must have as many email accounts as extensions, can be used under the same browser.

We do not recommend this use as it could cause any inconvenience with microphone, headset, etc.

Due to the type of development, we recommend that you always use Phone-C under Google Chrome

Yes, it is compatible for MAC computers using Google Chrome

We do not recommend its use for Linux distributions, although there is support for Chrome as a supported browser on Linux for WebRTC.

It is currently not available for Android.

Calls made through Phone-C will have the same cost as a call made through the fixed extension.

It is not necessary for the other person to have Phone-C, just provide us with an email account to send you the connection link.

You just need Chrome browser, a Gmail account and an IP PBX.

Phone-C does not have a minimum contract period, however the service fee is annualized.

Phone-C has an annual fee of 19 € per user.

After the trial period you can contract Phone-C on the website. If after this period, you do not contract the service, Phone-C will be deactivated and you will not be able to continue using it.

Free trial period service will be available for 60 days from the moment of download.

Phone-C is an application that integrates your email with your work extension. The person who manages the computer part of that extension will probably be the manager of your PBX.  In case you don’t know who this person is, surely your IT department will be able to help you.

Callers see the same number you show when calling from your landline extension.

In order to be able to call any phone as if you were calling from your landline, your company’s IP PBX must be configured with Phone-C. If you are the administrator you can download the configuration manual and complete the steps. Otherwise, ask your business administrator to complete the configuration.

To complete the activation of the test period it is necessary to configure Phone-C, to the company PBX. As long as this doesn’t happen, you can only make calls with all the members of your company who downloaded the application and talk from computer to computer.

Once the IP PBX has been configured by your administrator, you can call all the numbers as if you were using your fixed extension.

This pane groups the information of all contacts in the associated mail chain. In this way, when searching for example an email, we will also have the information in detail from this contact, being able to even make a phone call with a click.

Inside Phone-C you will enjoy a unique contact list. This includes both the corporate and personal contacts of each user. It also allows you to add new contacts either through an incoming call or an email that includes the data.

With Phone-C you’ll never miss a call, as it has a Missed Call Count and Call Waiting feature. You can also call conferences to three parties, or send an incoming and outgoing call to another phone number.

When selecting the mode of use on the main call panel, either fixed or mobile, automatic transmission and reception of calls to this device is performed. This scenario is highly recommended for cases where we do not have microphone and headphones associated with the computer.

Phone-C calls are easily managed. Clicking on the Phone-C logo displays the main calling screen. There you can write the number to call, click on a frequent contact or do a voice search.
